Hi Dennis,
Thank you for your answer! I'm glad to find there's an explanation to this, I thought it looked kinda buggy.
Though it sounds as if Rewire could use an update- it would be a simple but very valuable addition imo.
Best, Jonas

Re: Anyone seriously use arrangement?
+1 for the positibility of referencing session clips from arrangement, better/more shortcuts, take comping as well as better multitrack editing + recording!
done right i can't see why that would interfere with the basic ideas of live. and that would suit _my_ needs perfectly

Rewire and odd meters?
Hi-
I often rewire Live's session view into Logic in the process of beat making. It works perfectly fine when only in 4/4 but whenever something is in odd meters, Live behaves really weird: loops are not played from the beginning depending on where in the arrangement Logic is started.

Re: Switching instruments using MIDI-controller
I don't quite get your first suggestion, but let me explain my needs a bit better:
I don't do live looping, actually I don't even run any loops these days. What I (mainly) do is find/create instruments in Live, and play these in a rather traditional way using a keyboard - like one would play an old ...

Switching instruments using MIDI-controller
Hi -
I'm curious towards how you guys switch instruments live, in Live.
My live setup includes a MacBook running Live (currently 7, shortly 8 Suite) and a brand new M-Audio Oxygen 49 (3rd generation) MIDI controller.
As of now, I have about 10 tracks with each their instrument (or -rack) and ...

Tracking (drums) in Live 7?
Hi -
I've spent the weekend tracking drums for 3 tracks, and as I've fallen in love with Live, I wanted to use that as my tape-recorder. (we're talking 12 mics total on a full drum kit)
It wasn't as easy as I'd imagined, though. So I'm curious - how do you guys work with multiple takes in many ...

Copy track automation to clip envelopes?
Hi -
I can't seem to figure out how to copy track automation into a clip itself (so I can move that clip to session view).
How's that done?
Best regards, Jonas Delfs

Re: Having more than 1 MIDI note to record enable a track?
Say I have a set with 3 tracks: 1 w/ an instance of Drum Rack, and two - each w/ a soft synth.
I then have a pad controller that I want to use to switch between instruments. I've mapped the first pad to record enable track 1+2 - but how do I get the second to record enable both track 1+3?
