I've got a pulsar 2 card and have been using Live in XTC-mode.

It works ok most of the time, but sometimes when I start Live there is a lot of cracking when playing pulsar synths, I have to change the latency in xtc settings back and forth one or two times, and then suddenly it works ...

EEkevin, if you want accustic sound for your drums, why don't you use some drumloops by a real drummer?
Try a google for beta monkey drums, drums on demand, session drums
