I couldn't wait any longer .. So I fixed it by wiping out my HD & reinstalling OSX.

p.s - the deletion of all ableton cfg files did not solve the problem

yea I've been able to get some sick bass sounds from the operator .

imo, the source is irrevelant , it's all about the dynamics.

update:

I created a new audio midi setup config. & I was able to open Live but once I closed Live & tried reopening it later, I got the same error & crash as I was previously getting ... Even after I change & created new midi setups.

I'm beginning to think that it's not a problem with Live but I'm ...

update:

I unplugged all midi connections to my computer & it's giving me the same error messages excpet now it says " .. wll not open device "computer keyboard" & "cannot delete ... vstscaninfo.cfg"

you can extract the aif files from the garageband file & use them in Live ... thats what i did
