Win XP + Live 8.0.2 = Immediate Crash on Startup.

PC: Quad Core 9400, 4Gb ram, ASUS PQ5 Pro MB.
Windows XP SP3

Live 7.0.16 runs stable.

Bought the Ableton Suite 8 Box upgrade. Did not open the box,
instead, downloaded Ableton 8.0.2 from the homepage.
Installed it.

Crashes on startup _everytime_ I try to start it.

Tried renaming my VST-plugin ...

If you have any PCI slots available, I would strongly
recommend the dirt-cheap M-Audio Delta 1010LT,
I have both a Audiophile 2496 and 1010LT in parallell in
my system giving me a total of 12inputs/outputs and I have an operating latency of about 2ms (one-way) - and - it is stable.

I picked up my ...

I think I solved it.

I guessed that the driver had problem soft-syncing the cards, so I took
an RCA cable and interconnected the SPDIF-inputs and set one card
with external sync.

Now it works like a charm. I run with 64 bytes buffer and no noise!! :)

Low Latency Delta 1010L Fizzling sound

I have two PCI-cards in my system,

A M-Audio Audiophile 24/96 and a Delta 1010LT card
They use the same driver.

When running buffers lower than 256 bytes, e.g. 128 or 64 bytes
there sometimes appear a fizzling almost alias-like distortion that
appears vaguely and then dissappears.

My QuadCore ...

padKontrol normal native mode - recordin control change.

I'm using the padKontrol without any external software like maxpatch or anything, just Abletons native support.

This works fine for playing drumracks.

Also, assigning the x-y-pad works, for instance assigning freq/rez to the x/y
pad for the filter in analog. HOWEVER

when I want to record a ...

Korg PadKontrol Native Mode Ableton 7

Hi All, I have been looking for an answer on the forum but not found
any... so:

I wonder, what is the default behaviour/capabilities of the
korg PadKontrol in Ableton Live 7 ?

I have enabled the control surface and yes, I can play midi-notes on the
pads, and I can assign controllers to the XY-pad ...
