Re: I'd kill for a good LFO filter for dubstep basses....

With ableton's analog you can make a good wobble bass. Also with simpler or sampler with some good waveform samples you can make big fat wobble basses. No need of other vsti's.

Re: Shitty Midi

what are your computer specs? Shitty midi comes also from shitty computers. I use live with midi controllers and it works fine. Maybe you have to use asio drivers.

Airwave wrote:you need 4gb of ram.
As xp is a 32 bit OS, it can only uses up to 3.2 gb ram. At least thats what i knew.
If u wanna use more, then you'll have to use a 64 bit OS like vista but vista sucks so we'll just have to wait for windows 7.

Re: How many controllers?

i think you can connect as many as your computer let you. Its going to depend on the number of USB ports and the voltage. For example, i had a laptop with 2 usb ports and i couldnt connect my oxygen 49 and a mobilepre usb at the same time because of lack of voltage or something like that. However i ...

Re: Running Live Visuals with Ableton

And when you have your locator mapped, without the midi clip, does it go back to the locator once you press the key?

Maybe if you could post some pics of what you are doing, maybe i could guess whats the problem.

Re: Running Live Visuals with Ableton

So, you got your locator midi mapped to a midi message. Now, map a midi or audio clip to the same midi message. Im asumming you are using a keyboard or a mpc-ish controller, so what you are going to map are notes. You dont have to create a midi clip with a note, which i asume you did by your reply ...

Re: Running Live Visuals with Ableton

First, insert a locator in the arrangement view in the part you want and midi map it to a note (for example C3). Then go to the session view and midi map an audio or midi clip to the same note, so when you activate that clip, it will go at the same time to that locator.

Re: What is best workflow to remix entire song?

Auto warping never works, you have to do it yourself
There are a LOT of tutorial about this subject. Just google it or youtube it.

Just an advice: There arent rules on how to make remixes (and music). You just make it.
