Pros for me:
1. Build quality second to none, it's built like a tank and all the knobs, sliders keys feel great.

I think it works great and it's a great feature, I wish it were in Live, but I love Reason just as much....so it's all good to me.

I disagree with you, bro. I think the R4 sequencer is easy to use. The vertical rack does take some getting used to, but I think you can solve that by changing the display on your machine.

I think that the ReGroove function is awesome and the New Dub button is awesome and it's a nice neat package ...

I went with the Akai MPK49 without trying out the other stuff. I like the build quality very much and the knobs and sliders are huge and very well made. It's a tank and that's what I wanted. I've had no issues with it so far and it's works with Reason very well in addition to Live.

Some people have a need for more features in any version and will continue to desire more features until the end of time...

There's now perfect program out there, IMHO. Buy it now, use it and enjoy it.

Great board! My partner had one that looked like no one every had touched it. I ended up with a 60, which they used to say was even phatter, but it could have been a bit of an urban legend going on there.

Not to be silly, but I think a great way to get samples of real basses is to hook up with real bass players. Sample them, cut them up and you have original, unique basses.

That way you have samples that no one else will have versus stuff that's been on the web forever and everyone has access to ...

I've had the AT ones, they are nice. I just got a pair of Bose and I'm really happy with them.

I'd love to hear about what others are doing to build beats from the ground up with just Abe and great single hit drum samples. I'm from the roll your own school, not that using loops is a bad thing, but I'm going back to basics and I'd like to share methods for coming up with original slamming ...

I've tried many, but for me, I only wish to buy once.... RME. Not the cheapest, but I have one now and it's so troublefree, I really have to think of the model number.

Save your money up for an RME card, you'll not regret it.

Hi, I use the RME Audio HDSP 32. I have a desktop that i've continued to rebuilt and update and this is my main music machine. For my needs, I find that the RME is a wonderful card and the sonic quality and low latency is fantastic.

I've got Version 1 and it works with L5.... other than being a little slow on loading a sample initially, it works Ok.
