Re: If General is General, then why a Lounge?

The general section will end up dying. The only thing that people post are questions about how to do something and the common answer is RTFM. They should start a sticky that says "Before posting, RTFM!" lol

Re: Money made from music work / accountants / tax write-offs...

But, if you make more that 8 or 10k with a combined income from music and other work, you can file and make deductions. If you make so much from music that you actually need to report the earnings, you can deduct all music expenses. Software, hardware, music subscriptions services, travel expenses....

Re: Money made from music work / accountants / tax write-offs...

There is a certain amount of money you can make without being on the IRS radar. I think its something like anything under 10 grand (where i'm at) This was told to me by a tax attorney (USA) So unless you're making a butt load of money then there would be no reason to file this income. Even tho you'r...

Re: How much are you charging your clients?

Now that i've moved out to a commercial spot with steady business i charge around $40 an hour and a little cheaper for day rates. When i was at home building up clients out of my bedroom i charged $20. It also depends on how much studios are going for around you. If someone can go to a professional ...

Re: Ableton Live 8- e mail delivery-- from indonesia??- on ebay

I called up support before when selling a few Ableton licenses and it doesn't matter where they are. I sold one in Canada and one in UK. (Im in the US) The thing that gets me is in the ebay return policy, it states "no refund for used key/user failure" and that they will send you the key in 24 hours...
