I WOULD LIKE TO KICK START ANOTHER DISCUSSION. THIS TIME WHATS THE BEST LAPTOP FOR MUSIC PRODUCTION/PERFORMANCE.

AT THE MOMENT IM RUNNING A VISTA 32 BIT INTEL DUAL CORE. ITS OK BUT OBVIOUSLY I NEED A SERIOUS UPGRADE.

PLEASE DISCUSS!!! WHAT ARE EVERYONES OPINIONS ON THIS ...

great advice everyone. this fireface 400 seems amazing.problem is i have max 400 pounds here. thats not much i know but thats all i have for the moment.

i am in hope of getting started a discussion about, whats the best external firewire sound card, designed for realtime zero latency performance. so i can play guitar and midi keyboard whilst playing and mixing my tracks in ableton.

my sound card can get rid of all the latency so there is no delay on both the guitar and the keyboard. the problem being is that the playback quality is comprimised. some people have suggested that perhaps the computer isnt powerful enough but i know it is.

i changed the warp mode to complex and it didnt change anything. when a song is even a couple bpm out from what it originally was it stutters like a bitch. for example a song called swimmers is originally like 151 or something but unless its on exactly 151 it sttutters.
