The problem is, I am having to set my buffer in both Ableton and Audition to the max at 2048 sometimes or else I get crazy glitching/stuttering.
I know my MacBook Pro ...

stuttering on every bar
im running 5.2 on a G5 with loads of ram... on every one of my projects, if there are multiple tracks running clips that are just looping, live stutters for a bit on every bar loop. it's ever-so-slight, just milliseconds, but is audible almost like a clip distortion or something.

norton
the problem im finding is most of these products only support certain filetype scans... so a .als will be invisible to them, have you recovered a .als with norton?
thanks for your suggestion and help.

help! deleted ableton project ( os x ) cant recover
somehow i've managed to delete an ableton .als and it's sounds.. i've just tried using "data rescue II" to try and find it... yet i it wasnt able to find the .als files, i believe because data rescue II doesnt recognize the ableton filetype.. only more common files.

anyone with similar issue
am i missing something? i can't find anything in the new documentaion that explains any new behavior on sample offset...
i've posted mp3's of the same clip, the first exported through Live 4, the second through Live 5.
the new "clicking" is clearly audible in live 5.
it's a HUGE problem for me ...

Live 5 clip offset major clicking sounds...
i had a project going in Live 4 - just bought and installed the Live 5 upgrade.
i have a lot of clips that have sample offsett automation... now in Live 5 every offsett introduces major clicking sounds... whereas in live 4 it was smooth.
and i do have "fade" selected in the sample parameters box ...

yeah....i meant 44.1...
do you know if live automatically dithers down from 24/48khx to 16/44.1?
i know in Cubase and others..they Strongly recommend inserting the dithering plug when mixing down from higher bit rates, because just converting it isnt recommended
