Crashes when opening project cross mac & PC (link attached)

Hi everyone. I''m having problems opening projects from windows and OS X. I've tried importing tracks individually but those with any external vsts simply crash. This isn't a problem when working the other way round. Any help or suggestions?

I'm using an MBP with 10.5.7 and ableton 8.0.4.

It really depends on the instruments and the mix, sometimes its nicer to leave them in.

I almost always find its better to deal with problems of heavy frequency overlap at the source. i.e. using different mics/synth settings before EQ. Helps if you try to get sounds that work from the start. e.g ...

No it won't. Even if there was a difference in quality between the audio engines you still wouldn't hear it on a dj set, as in the noise level is beneath that of the quietest bits of the tracks.
If you want your set to sound better don't clip the master fader and run some kind of a limiter just in ...

An amazing idea, speeds up workflow and the interface that I love ableton for. This would be far more useful to me if they also gave EQ 8 a phase linear function and tidied it up a bit, as I don't find it much use on the master channel.

Re: Need help mastering a rock band

The other issue I'm running into is that the drums were recorded all in the same track. They didn't have a way to record each mic and the cymbals are way too bright. How would I bring down the highs a little but not lose the punch of the snare. I've tried the whole EQ thing. Any suggestions would ...
