Ableton have almost NEVER got upgrade price structures right for me.

I remember having Ableton LE, which I bought to get started with. WHen I went to look at the upgrade for being an existing customer, it was significantly more then just buying Suite to start with.

The library for Maschine is more then enough. But having Massive with it is pretty good as well. Massive is quite a complicated synth and the layout bugs me. But it does live up to it's name. Most of the noises it makes are pretty big.

I recently got hold of a Maschine.....the potential of that thing as a controller for Ableton is just incredible. The default script and map doesn't do it justice. I'm just no good at scripting...I could use NI's map editor & Live's MIDI learn function to create something 1/2 ...

I think putting the Nocturn & LP together in one uni would actually be a worse proposition then it is now.

It is odd. Even if one of the RAM sticks was bad, in theory you should still get better performance by putting the same overall amount memory into one controller.

Hi. I've recently wiped and reinstalled my mac.

everything has gone fine with Live, aside from the PureMagnetik pack. I have now downloaded it several times without interruption but each time it fails. Sayign the pack is corrupt and 'unknown compound stream'.

Really is annoying me. Any ideas ?

In all fairness, this is not strictly Ableton's fault. They are using Rewire...one of the catches of Rewire is that any slave app cannot host 3rd party plugins. It's not just Ableton that suffers this way..

At a hunch. This sounds like it could be a problem with Traktor's sync mode when playing a file. But it's been that long since I did any 2 laptop sync'd setups...I'm not possibly sure.

If Live is acting as the master clock. Then Traktor will try to keep time to it. If sync mode is on...it will try ...

I can't think of a way of doing what you ask. Maybe someone could creat it using Max. But it sounds difficult.

Only other option I could think of would be using 2 launchpads to get the extra 8 channels that you want. But that seems like a bit of an overkill...

Yeah I can appreciate that against things we need, buying music software, or music, or films etc doesn't feature that highly.
