Press the FX button: the 4 touch strips is say now midi channel 1.
Press the EQ button: the same 4 touch strips are now midi channel 2, and so on.

The are pretty nice to handle. You have to install a software called daRouter where you load presets. These presets tell your SCS3 how to behave.
As far is i know darouter works with bome's midi translator .
So i think you could make yourself a preset the way you like with ...
