Re: Line 6 HD500 review
although lacking in some features, the HD300-500's sound great...i am very surprised at how expressive the basic amps sound....
many of the effects are overdone IMHO, and there is a limited number of amps ...but they really do sound great
if you are into your guitar sound, you should check these ...

Re: Beginner's thoughts on 64 bit/32 bit
i hope this helps if you are thinking about Daws/computer purchases in the near future...
I'm not sure it does.
What was the point of your post, anyway? That Sonar X1 is unstable right now?
What does 64 bit/32 bit have to do with this?
There are some 32 bit programs which are unstable and there ...

Re: Am I normal?
i would not change programs.
i think if you can stay disciplined and learn one daw by experience, it makes things alot easier..
on the odd chance that you get something you really like going, you don't want to be figuring out new software...you probably know alot more about live than you think ...

Beginner's thoughts on 64 bit/32 bit
Apologies if this is too long...just wanted to share my recent experience..
i upgraded my 5 yr old computer to and i7/64 bit computer...for the amount of money i spent, i was concerned about wasting money and feared live wouldn't really take advantage of it
i was kind of obsessed with the 32 bit ...

Re: Am I normal?
If you are just doing it for yourself, and more importantly by yourself...(like i usually do).
you may find (like i did!) that it's alot of fricking work to do everything!!!
So i usually spend an hour just making sounds, beats/guitars/synth arps and then look for loops to match...
the best thing ...

Sample rate question
I am getting pretty quick snaps/pops/crackles after getting a new audio interface..
I'm playing with the buffers now to get it the way i need it..however, i noticed that the sample rate is 96000....i'm wondering how much that matters...
i'd like have have cd quality audio and so I've read around ...

Re: Ableton Live 64-bit, when?
Gosh this all reminds me of when I had to configure my RAM everytime I wanted to play a different video game..hehe..yes i'm old...
As of now, I'm wondering if I should upgrade to 64 bit or stay with current setup for a while and just live with running things like omnisphere in another host ...

Re: Ableton with Windows 7 64-bit. Does it work with it?
Spectrasonics Omnisphere and Trilian relies on plenty of RAM, so if you push it with several instances of the plugins, you are bound to go down.
I mainly use Omnisphere/Trilian as my synth and Ableton Live 32 bit crashes on me several times every day if I don´t keep all synth tracks bounced to ...

I currently have a firewire interface that has been very stable and very fast with Live and lots of other programs including ...
