Converting Max Project to M4L
Hej I learned some Max with V.J. Mankos "Max/MSP/Jitter for Music", which is a very good tutorial. But there's one thing I don't find out: if I open an MAX project, how do I convert this to a M4L patch ? There are the same MIDIIN and MIDIOUT objects but obviously it does not integrate into...

Re: Tempo Mapping Audio (Song) File
What I mean is:
I have a lot of audio files (backing tracks ) I play to. I need an extra file/track with the timing information (click/Metronom) and/or parts naming.

Re: Tempo Mapping Audio (Song) File
OMG
Big mistype. Currently I use Live 9 and think about upgrading to 10.
Sorry for the confusion ...
@yur2die4: you mean warp-markers, right ? I‘ll try to hit cmd+I while listening to the audio to set markers every 4 or 8 bars. Maybe it works.

Re: Tempo Mapping Audio (Song) File
Thanks for your quick response, nathannn After some trial and error I was able to construct a quite usable click track. But it's real hard to pin the downbeats exactly. If there are many different instruments playing I can't spot the beats in the wave display. Is there a way to slow down the playbac...

Tempo Mapping Audio (Song) File
Hi ! I have several audio backing tracks and want to construct click tracks in Ableton Live 9 Studio. Of course the audio files don't have exact BPMs but the song tempo varies through the song. Therefore I have to change the click tempo over time (automation). What I tried: - import the audio file a...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
No way ! That's too hard !Keep your hands off it for a little while....
But i figured out the way to get the lightshow. The APC40 must be not connected to the PC. After pluggin the USB cable the "snake" stops and won't show anymore. Too bad ...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
YES ! I got one !
Tom Cosm posted a thread when he first installs his. And when he powers up his APC 40 there was this cool lighting: snakelike button and pots light up.
My APC 40 shows nothing like this. Does AKAI already changed this ?
Thanx,
Andreas

Vista, Acer Aspire, Latency
Hi ! I bought me an Echo Audiofire 4 interface and spend the last 2 days eradicate my latency issues. I followed the common tuning tips, stopped the relevant services, stopped virtual memorys, UAC, etc on my Vista Laptop and even reinstalled Vista Home Professional on my Acer Aspire 7720G. But witho...

Prelisten to Midi files - what instrument ?
Hi !
If I prelisten to drum MIDI files it sounds strange. Of course Live do not know which drum instrument to play.
Is there a way to configure the instrument ?
I use Toontrack Superior Drums and want to browse through the NY Avatar MIDI files.
Thanks,
Andreas
