So what you are saying is, live re-warps the loop I record... and that is why it sounds different? So what I do now is record a two bar loop (for example) for 6 bars. In a scene in a session view. Then I zoom in really close and cut it where the two bar loop start and stop points should be. This is ...

I had the same problem with xp and vista using an maudio firewire card... and then later an rme pci sound card. Now I'm using an old macbook pro with a firewire motu card and have 0 problems. I suspect it might have to do with virus protection, or something eating up your resources. I've seen live ...
