Re: I love Ableton Live because it's so easy to actualize...
Absolutely. Sequencers in the early days had some wicked automation curves.simonlb wrote:Why does techno suck in '10?
Must be all these Ableton users and their linear automation...

Re: OS X 10.6.3 or 10.6.4?
I'm not sure, but I haven't had any firewire issues since 10.6.0, at all.

Re: OS X 10.6.3 or 10.6.4?
I haven't noticed any differences between 10.6.3 and 10.6.4 regarding Live and other audio related things. Also, my firewire hard drives and original MOTU 828 are working fine. If you don't have any software or hardware that has not yet been updated for it I'd go for 10.6.4.

Re: How can you do this 'screaming' sound in Live Suite 8?
To make the exact sound is always a bit tricky, but if you search for some tutorials on how to create a 'Reese' bass sound (there's plenty around), that at least will get you pretty close.

Re: Current Beta Version: Live 8.1.5b1 (updated July 14, 2010)
I'm pretty sure it's for Live 8 owners only, since the beta's don't expire anymore. Otherwise all users of previous versions could essentially upgrade to 8 for free.IP wrote:is this beta only for 8 owners or for every live user?

Re: WTB : NI Electronic instruments 2 XT
If you have Reaktor 5 you can download the public beta version of Reaktor 5.5, which now has Electronic Instruments I & II included by default.
Edit: Sorry, missed the 'standalone' part... I shouldn't post this early in the morning

Re: Bug reports
You mean the .alp files that you can mail to Ableton? They are located in ~/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Bug Reporting for me.
