I got the i7 2.66 and I've been very happy with it so far. Just wanted to say I've had no issues with the firewire 800 port. I have a Glyph GT050Q and a Metric Halo ULN-2 hooked up to it, in that order and it's running smooth.

Up until recently I've performed my live sets by looping all the elements and parts of the song. I felt that it was too time consuming so I've started including prerecorded material, and it's really liberating to be able to focus ...

I played a gig with Machinate last Saturday and everything went smoothly.

That is, I mapped a knob on my BCR2000 to control cutoff on my synth-bass and then learned the hard way that the same knob also controlled Global Quantization... Made for some interesting (awful) loops

I tried real-time composing today in front of the camera, it's gonna take a little getting used to. But a couple of months ought to do - it's all in the mind - not being afraid to bomb in front of the audience, hehe...

Yep, I did all the vocals. I really love the Middle Eastern way of singing, I remember watching a concert with Natascha Atlas at the Roskilde Festival - amazing stuff!
