Like others have said don't use multi just because you think you need to. It will depend on the genre and how you mix but I usually like to only have a db or two going.

What you should try to do is fix anything you were doing in multiband earlier on in the mix. Do drum group, synth group processing ...

Sounds like you're trying to use negative delay to remove latency which is inherently impossible. The reason you can do positive delays is because adding more latency on top of what you have is easy for software to do as it's just worsening the problem. If you could fix it with negative delay then ...

Agreed, I stopped listening to Beatport releases a while ago, much prefer older recording that breathe and have some richness to them.

This sounds like the same thing that is happening on my end as well regarding recording live instruments
when comparing 7 and 8.

I can confirm there are issues with 8 and latency as described above.

In 7 it seemed as if only latency added by 3rd party plugs on the master buss affected
the overall latency of the system. Now plugins on the track level contribute to this as well.

Btw if anyone had issues with the link today it was due to an ISP dropout in the UK connecting to Mediatemples US server.
Seems to be working fine now.

I'm experiencing latency on my midi outs (triggering external). Never had a problem with 7 but it seems as if live input through is now being delayed as well (should just be on playback I'd assume).

Additionally once I do get my midi recorded and triggering fine, when it's recorded as audio its ...
