Lesson learned never patch up blind with a rack in place - always unmount and connect up when you can see the ports. Pg 7 of the Motu 828mk3 manual- rear panel pic has the Midi in/out the wrong way round. Therefore all this time Ive been trying to send midi ...

Tried that but there's no audio coming in.
Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Both Ableton and the 828 are indicating that midi is being transmitted. Unfortunately there are no midi indicators on the synths.
Indeed, I am receiving the audio back on the right channel and Ive got monitor on.

I've a feeling I'm doing something fundamentally wrong and hope you point out what that is.
My entire setup has been dismantled then set back up. Also my studio machine needed to be rebuilt. As a result I had to reinstall everything.

I record a lot of audio - guitars, synths etc. I tend to mess around with the pitch of the audio after its been recorded to get a warped tape style effect.

The Cee Lopez video complete with rack download is perfect.
I'm not too techy so its good to be able to grab something that already works.

I use a 14-track out board mixer which I send all my channels to, via a motu ultralite. I take a line out from the mixer back into Ableton via the ultralite as my mixed audio signal.

I want to get rid of the mixer and purely use Ableton. I'm about to buy Push. The one thing I find really useful ...

I'd downloaded the 32bit version of Ableton 9.5.
After downloading and installing the 64bit version Amplitube 4 is now available as a Plugin.
(Apart from my Waves plugins now disappearing but I don't use them so I'll cross that bridge at another point ...

mrgrim3 - would rather not clean off 9.5 but I've a feeling that is where the problem lies, rather than Amplitube. If not [jur] then I'll uninstall/install.

Weird. Just upgraded to 9.5. Also just upgraded from Amplitube 3 to 4.
Everything is fine on my laptop. However on my tower Amp 4 is not showing up in the plugins folder.
