Hi Folks,
Similar subject to previous posts but different issue.
I record a lot of audio - guitars, synths etc. I tend to mess around with the pitch of the audio after its been recorded to get a warped tape style effect.
That's something I'm having difficulty automating with Push 2.
I've worked out how to do it once I've converted audio to simpler. However, adjusting by a semi-tone at a time is way too harsh and stepped sounding. I want to do it by cents. To adjust by cents (or fine-tune) you hold down the shift key on Push 2 then shift the transpose knob. The problem there is that by holding the shift key it switches off the automate button. Is that right?
Question 1 - Is there an alternate way to get the fine cent tuning on transpose without holding down shift?
Going back to the original audio sitting in an audio track (before converting to simpler) Push 2 doesn't seem to do any automation. I can make adjustments to the pitch on my screen using the mouse and the clip transpose envelope but the Push 2 setting don't change.
Question 2 - Can Push 2 perform any automation on audio samples in an audio track and if so how do I automate cent control transposition?
Many thanks in advance.
