You can already get the audio performance in Vista.
XP -> Vista was a total audio system rewrite.
Vista -> 7 the only audio changes I know of are related to DRM.
So either way, if you're upgrading from XP you'll get a good improvement no matter which OS you pick.

Have you ever worked in professional software development on a large complex project? There's a lot of work that goes into adding a feature. A guy doesn't just sit down and just say "Ok, I'll change the warping engine today" and bang it out in 4 hours.

I can confirm this issue; it is happening to me too.However if you try and access you EIC sounds through the help shortcut you get sent to an empty search results page.
