Anything in the Etymotic series. Balanced, neutral, perfect for tracking and mixing, reveals so much detail. You gotta deal with them being in-ear, but it's worth it.

If there's a battery update what will it entail?

Personally I see Serato/Rane doing something big with Serato Scratch. TTM56 w/serato scratch inside or something, plus rewire support and the ability to run Serato as a MIDI master. Ooh man drooling already...

Looks good, wonder how it compares to the firepod in terms of quality...

And Cone, how do you like the Lexicon Omega? It seemed pretty impressive by the number of inputs and the price, but how are things like latency and sound quality?

Hahaha oh man, that's great. There's a post from awhile back on gearslutz that's pretty good about craziest studio sessions all these different recording engineers have had, just stuff with hilariously drunk musicans and all that. I'll try to find it soon.

This part has to be my favorite:

Q-Bert is by far the most technically talented. He knows all.

Mix Master Mike is the man for strange shit and pure improvisational skill.

The X-Ecutioners are great to watch cuz it's 6 turntables and they have such control over their sound and show.

I think DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist do some great ...

I wish that propellerheads would just spilt up all the instruments in Reason and distribute them all as individual VST's. Most reason users are at the point now where they only like 1-2 machines but hate everything else about that programe. They'd probably make a bunch more money that way, too ...

The MicroKontrol is the perfect all-in-one controller for Live. Ableton is sitting on a goldmine with this combo. Please get native support for the MicroKontrol for Live 5.

Yes, please implement native mode, I'm picking up my MicroKontrol today (used for $160, sweet deal) and the thought of not having to jump around assigning things and just play music seems to be consistant with Live's purpose and goals as stated by Ableton.

I was super skeptical when I heard the rumors, then when they were confirmed yesterday I just couldn't get how it was a smart move. But after watching the Keynote what convinced me was the processor output / watt graph. Laptops are the future for most individuals (every year more and more are sold ...

Okay so it looks like this is possible, thanks for the tips, I had forgotten seeing that Ms. Pinky thing awhile back. On the outside it looks crude, but according to the developer it's really simple software:

Live + decks (new school + old school)

Hey first post, great board. I'm set on using Live, looks awesome gonna pick it up over the summer when 5 comes out. But I don't think I can give up being able to control a record with turntables. A lot of people who can't give up vinyl turn to Finalscratch. That hardware is overpriced, poor quality ...
