yes, the input is set to master out. i click on 'arm recording' it turns red, the sound stops and i don't see any red record circle.

hmm... it's still not working.

i assume you're talking about the little p/b like symbol, below the headphone button, right? i press it and it turns red but the clips still don't show any red record circle.

i was hoping somebody could give me a quick pointer.

when wanting to send the output of Live to a file, according to the manual, you only have to enable the input as master out and then arm the track for recording.

when i do this on a newly opened set, the red record circles appear just fine ...

mr fly, i've been using XP to test Live and it's been working without a hitch. it's recommended that you have a fair bit of RAM for XP alone, but Live shouldn't cause any problems.

i too was running 98se before, and xp is just considerably more stable. but stock up on ram! i have 512mb in my p3-650 ...
