Re: Does Live 8 Support Sysex ???
True, it was a poor design decision by Roland to use sysex for the faders on devices like the PG-300. And there are, as you pointed out, numerous workarounds for using older gear with Live without the need for sysex. One of the synths I use most often for my recordings, namely a Roland Jupiter-4 ...

Re: BEST OSX SYSEX/MIDI TOOL FOR LIVE 6 & JUNO 2 (in 2009) ???
Haven't tried it myself, but I agree with the above poster, MidiQuest sounds like your best bet. Getting the most out of my Juno-2 with Live has been a problem for me over the years, the main issue being Live's lack of sysex support (You can read about it here, if you're interested: http://forum ...

Re: Does Live 8 Support Sysex ???
add this to WISHLIST!!!!!!!
I'm afraid it's already been on the wishlist for years. I researched this topic before posting and found that quite a number of people have been wishing for sysex support in Live for years.
Wouldn't hurt to keep asking, though, I suppose. But I'm not getting my hopes ...

Re: Does Live 8 Support Sysex ???
My sentiments, exactly! As great a composition tool as Live is, the lack of sysex and patchname support, among other things, is one of the primary reasons I mostly use it as a rewire client and not as a standalone sequencer. What's more, Live mostly ignores OS X's global CoreMIDI setup. Sure, it ...

Re: Does Live 8 Support Sysex ???
Thanks for the replies. I was afraid as much.... Sysex support is something I've sorely missed in Live for years. Not only have I never been able to use those tasty cells to store patches, I've never been able to record real-time control changes from my Roland PG-300 which only transmits sysex ...

Does Live 8 Support Sysex ???
Before taking the plunge and upgrading to Live 8 from Live 7, I wanted to ask does anyone know if Live 8 supports sysex? After glancing through the manual's index, I fear not -- but I wanted to confirm that with someone who already owns Live 8. Previous versions apparently filter out sysex messages ...

Live 7.0.3 Crash with Loop in Arrangement
If I set the locators to loop a small section in the arrangement windows, Live will consistently crash after a few passes. This has been happening to me ever since version 7.0.1. I was hoping 7.0.3 would solve the problem, but apparently not. Can anyone confirm this as a bug, or should I consider ...

Well, I knew it was inevitable, but I'm still disappointed that OS 9 is being dropped. I have to wonder just what new features being introduced in Live 5 simply COULD NOT exist on OS 9. I seriously doubt many. The same goes for so many other excellent programs which were prematurely cut off from OS ...
