how do you use YOUR UC-33e during live sets?

hey hey everybody, I'm just wondering out loud as to how everyone else uses their UC-33e for their DJ sets and if there's any cool or innovative ways to use it that I haven't thought about yet. I mostly just stick to the basics and use the top knob in a track for a high-pass filter for mixing in and...

I've bought the bundle and it is worth every single penny. OZone really does do a number on your CPU, but I never use it during production - only after I've finished my mixdown. I find myself using Trash frequently as well. It's pretty much my one-stop-shop for treating guitars (both acoustic and el...

Detroit? anyone?

Hey hey everybody,

I'm near Detroit, Michigan and I'm starting to think that I'm the only Abe around here :( Aren't there any other Michiganders around?! I'd love to organize a meetup somewhere convinient for everybody if there's interest. Give me a shout and maybe we can organize something!

My favorites are the following:

www.edmdigital.com
www.audiojelly.com
www.beatport.com

I'm a big beatport fan because I can just go through and preview everything - it's a great way to find new music.

I use Reaktor's vocoder and one from Waves all the time - I haven't worked with the CM Vocoder, but it should be the same. Here's how I do it: 1) Start a new set. Make sure you have one Audio track and one MIDI track. 2) To get a live feed from your mic, select "Ext. In" from the first drop down box...

With vocals I usually stick in a non-Live effect or two, but here's what I would do if I had to go strictly Live. Keep in mind that a LOT of this varies with how/where the vocals were recorded, so this is just a general guideline for what I would do with my set-up. 1) Gate - keep everything moderate...

yeah, I often manipulate my volume automation like nuts on midi samples for vsts to get that sidechained "pulsing" sound without all the hassle :P it offers a lot more control than actually using a sidechain. if we had curves, it could sound even more awesome with half the work. hopefully implementa...

logarithmic volume envelopes?

I'm always finding myself meticulously editing my volume envelopes to get them to fade in and out logarithmicly as opposed to linearly. Any word from the Abletons if there'll be an easy implementation of logarithmic volume envelopes? For those who don't know what i'm talking about, here's the differ...
