i'm stickin to 8.0.4 until memory issues get addressed. ableton was kind enough to issue me a license for the latest 7 version, which i haven't used yet. they're cool like that.

you could always just setup a wordpress or blogpost blog, and redirect your domain name to it. that's what i did. i actually had wordpress put on the domain itself...same thing, blah blah blah.

from bleep labs. this thing is the shit.

DBGLUE's Glitch plug when automating "shuffle" in my case, when there are about 3 other glitch plugs on separate tracks. i get a "serious problem has occured. Live will shut down after you click OK" or something like that. can't work in the same project ever again UNLESS YOU DO THIS:

anybody have any idea why it would take about 30 seconds to open up a project with about 5 tracks running on an XP pro with 4 GB of ram and LIVE 8.0.4?

just curious if anyone else is having this issue.

seems like some memory management issues going on here.

i'm running 8.0.4 on a 2 GHZ hp notebook with 4 GB of ram on windows XP pro. And i can't load more than 4 or 5 tracks with CPU issues.

is the CPU meter supposed to bounce around alot? What's normal?

i also get audio clicks when switching instruments, and some instruments seriously take 20 seconds ...

mainly live 8 used for these tracks.

small set with about 4 midi tracks takes about 13 seconds to load.

the midi tracks contain live's built in instruments, no third party anything.

hp pav dv6000 2 GHZ proc, 4 GB ram (3.18) live suite 8.0.4

any ideas?

some of my other sets with about 20 tracks take less time to load.

ok...last time i said i disabled beat looker and it happened again, but i had another beat looker running on another scene. I removed all beat looker instances, and it hasn't happened in the last hour. this might be a sloppily coded third part plugin issue.
