You can bounce to MP3/AAC in Logic Pro so I shouldn't think it's impossible. I would assume it's just an additional conversion process that happens as soon as the file has rendered.

The new MP3 support is great but I really would like to be able to Render to an MP3 as well. At the moment I have to render as an Aiff/Wav file, import into iTunes and convert. Not a major thing but it would save a few minutes.

AAC support would be nice as well but I guess thats another topic....

Plenty of room on my screen for more browser buttons...

It seems that there are a lot of people using Ableton for DJ'ing and 'Live' work who don't seem to see the need for any kind of offline processing options, favouring better realtime processing instead.

I'm a long time Logic user but have started using Ableton for sketching out rough track ideas ...
