I run a Mac/PC LAN for home studio...
Running a Mac / PC Lan @ home, and everything was fine (333 iMac - 1.54 ghz AMD box). Then my Creative card input stopped working on my pc. All my pc buddies told me that I should just re-install the drivers and that's normal... but WTF? Why should I have to do that? I've never heard of any of my ...

No Mac vs PC here...
I have both (an OSX & XP pro box), and I'm saving up for another Mac. Take that for whatever you want... but I would not buy another pc. Don't get me wrong, the pc has been fine... but I find myself getting more done on my Mac. That simple. And with the release of GarageBand... let's just say I ...

No, I'm not lying....
To the idiot that thinks I'm a liar... well guess what buddy (or should I call you dumb as*).... I've got an AMD 1.5 gig with 256 megs of DDRAM sitting here with over 90 gigs of storage and a 333 iMac with 6 gigs of storage with 160 megs of Sodimm ram. One runs XP Pro, and one runs OSX 10.2.3. Can ...

peecee VS Mac
Look, being one who runs an XP "Professional" and an OSX 10.2.3 Mac, I'll tell you all one thing. I like the Mac much more. Simple as that. I'm not going to go into a lengthy detailed analysis... it's that simple. It has more than enough power, runs all the programs that I need (and more), and has a ...

Well...
Stuffit is cross platform. So, no, that's not a good reason that the peecee is fried. And it's not a hardware problem, the OS gave me a warning, so I believe it's a software problem / conflict.

Oh, the AMD 1 GHZ (running XP Pro) peecee that I got for free is dead (as of the 24th). Yup. I recieved a blue screen of death after using stuffit to open up a huge file (it initially closed it down all right). The next time I booted up big problems - so I had to again reboot with the F10 key ...

Merry Christmas to everyone @ Ableton from Pound Recordings!
I haven't been responding to any forum anywhere for the past 2 years (on the net for 5 years now), but you guys make a product that is worth talking about. Cheers to everyone there (from Vancouver BC & Richmond Virginia)! You guys make audio life so much better (and far more creative), I just can't ...

In my experience...
Most of the gigs (d&b events) in British Columbia - I'd go as far as say most of Canada - are left open to any MC who has the balls enough to step up to the mic. So, if they suck - which of course they often do - they make a good DJ set sound like sh*t. Not really a dj / progammers fault at that. It ...

Typical sh*t.. you know...
Thanks for letting me know. A company in Toronto did it for us (I hope you like the opening track - it's mine). What I mean, is when you go to a party where there is an MC saying stuff like "big ups to the dj" or "mad respect for all the party people" all frikkin' night over and over again (usually ...

Yes, MC as in rap and sing. 4 years running with the Pound recordings crew in Vancouver (club night running as well). We start off the first 2 hours of the night with open decks, and open mic. We've had Diesel boy over and Aphrodite, etc... I MC for the night (subliminal - not overkill - dub ...

First off, nice cartoon. Second off, I'm a newbie to this forum - so a little patience would be in order - please. Yes, I now understand that I'm talking about topics previously discussed. I would like to remind all of you that there are many things missing from the Ableton site - mainly details of ...

So I guess Mac users shouldn't line up and ask for Alti Vec or Audio Unit support? What's the matter with you? Have you ever heard of the "squeaky wheel gets the grease"? Do you know what that means?Have you used audio applications in OSX 10.2.2? Please wake up. Perhaps Ableton as a company will see ...
