Try the Demo Set "Dub Machines Demo Song". There's a bunch of automation going on that slows down the GUI; after a couple of seconds the hole program freezes and you have to force quit. :?
At least on my system...

Re: Any Improvements In The Audio Engine Of Ableton Live 10?

Hi, I've another question about the Audio Engine in Live 10. Live 9 had some PDC / ADC issues that has been solved. But there are still some elements that are still not compensated like the "level meters". Mixing with a high number of UAD plugin can be very exhausting. Another important function is ...

Re: MAC Pro or PC for a DAW?

mac (core audio) makes the music sound better... with a win machine (asio) it's impossible to obtain professional results.

i'd imagine the long load would have something to do with the amount of space left of your hard disk, and how fragmented your hard drive is....
Nope....i've defragmented al my partitions with O&O and it's still the same...9min. for grandpiano.

Hi Poltergeist, i can't confirm your cpu performance. I've 15-17% cpu. My system: Pentium IV 2,4Ghz, 1GB DDR-Ram, 120GB HD 7200U/min. with 8mb cache, ASUS P4PE, E-MU 1820m as you can see, my system is not the youngest one. but i can still work very fast and fluently. I try always to keep my system o...

Same problem here. It's very strange...i've tried to open the sample-folder (waveforms > keys > piano) to take a look at the sampledetails; only looking into it costs 60% of my cpu-power (task-manager). The samples are in aiff, 48khz, 24bit format and they aren't convertible (tried to open the sampl...

I've de-fragmanted the Partition where Ableton Live+EIC are installed. The rseult is still the same. I need exactly 9min. to load the grand piano instrument rack. after that, the cpu usage on my task-manager ist still remaining on 60-75% for 5minuntes. This is strange.

I don't know where the problem is. Monolake uses only Ableton Live and the results are high end. There is no quality difference between Logic, Cubase or Ableton Live. All that stuff are professional tools for creating music and there is only the musician to make the difference.
