EVENT 20/20 BAS V2 These are freakily FLAT! They take some getting used to, but that is how it should be. Makes sonic decision making more consistent- because they translate pure sonic reality. IMO monitors should NOT add any colour to the sound. In the end, I find a balance between the EVENT's, a c...

The main reason I was sold is the convertors and the mic pres w/ soft limiting. These pres are worth 10 times the price of admission alone! And the convertors are IDENTICAL to the Pro-Tools HD convertors. Even if I never use the built-in effects, it's still a steal! I have heard they (the effects) a...

I feel you brother. I agree with many others on this thread. I've composed some of my best work thru extreme emotion. Take advantage while the feelings are still intense. It will take your mind off it in the meantime as well. It SUCKS... But if it doesn't kill you, in the long run, it makes you much...

Forgive the little topic sidestep, but I have the 1616M on order. What has been your experience so far? Is it worth it? How are the preamps.. The software bundle any good? It looks almost too good to be true for the money.
Thanks!

What about if I download a few (eg) free music related programs or plugins on my net friendly MAC and burn it to CD and dump it on the PC. Should I still get some sort of simple "scanning" program to be safe? Is there a program that I can just "scan" the CD to check for any virus or worms or whateve...

Living_Fiction If you use Spyware, Adware, and Virus scanners, and keep your firewall on, you should be fine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Not to start a MAC vs PC war, but as a MAC user, I've never heard of this...stuff. I've read that intel is customizing a 64 bit monster processor for Apple. I just got an AMD laptop to "hold me over" 'till they get out there... Mac os is just smarter than windows os imho. If you check out some installation PDF's and the procedures for Mac and compare to the install procedure for W...
