The colors of the drumrack/clip section are used to show which samples are playing (green, they light up when the sample is being played) and which one is selected for edit (orange).

just been thinking about this too - being able to tweak your top row of 'sample edit' knobs on a per drum hit level aswell as a global sample level would be fantastic... glitch madness! maybe holding down the desired drum hit/step button (the 1-16 sequence buttons i mean) as a sort of shift modifier ...

yep me too - curves are a must! havnt used cubase myself but this lfo-style drawing sounds fantastic.... even better would be like f32 said, being able to apply say a sinewave modulation to an already drawn in automation line, acting as a 'secondary' modulator of sorts, with the added benefit of ...
