Maybe stupid advise but I got a similar setup just without adat interface and FF400 and had some popping and cracking going on because I left the samplerate clock to "auto" instead of master.... also at 50% ableton starts to crack with low latency, have to set the buffer high and restart ableton to ...

Are the guys with crashes on pc or mac? I've had LIVE 8 from the beginning on three different macs and three different OSX and can't complain about crashes, the ones I remember has all been caused by non supported third party plugins.... For me live 8 is a rock solid DAW..

Wanted to ask if the record quantization function can be midimapped? scroll through the different values? If not then this would be post for the feature request forum...

I am about to change my hd for my macbook pro, how do I do it without leaving my ableton on the previous one, do I have to unregister it away from the previous drive or something first?

It would be easier to mix tracks if you could switch between clip and plugin wiew in the session window.

In soundforge for example there is a pen tool that you can use to "paint" the clicks away, works well for short clicks....

The curve of the pitch env decay will make a great deal too, in a modular synth you would just modulate the pitch envs decay with the output of that same envelope, very crusial for getting different kicksounds.
