you haven't even used it yet.
interwebs and opinions...
I much prefer the new way. time is constant, it's the audio that's changing.
Hey since when is time constant? Time has always been relative. That's one of the main points of the theory of relativity.
You can argue with Einstein.

Re: MIDI Light Feedback / Instant mapping Problems
I found a workaround for the second midi light feedback problem for VCM-600.
At the effect racks it's possible to assign the effect buttons to the Speaker On button next to each effect in the chain.
You don't need to use chain select, audio can go through all the effects at the same time, and only ...

Re: Oh please bring back the old warping functionality.
Omfg, i just saw the new f*cked up warping system. This alone is enough to keep me from upgrading to Live 8..
There HAS to be an option to switch to the old fashioned warping!!
Live 7's warping was perfect, easy and informative. This new system sucks!
For the time being I'll stick with Live7 for ...

Re: automap weirdness with VCM600
I'm having the same problem but the other way around. Sometimes macro knobs start to act as EQ.
I figured out that this happens because midi channels get mixed up occasionally.
EQ knobs are sending CC16-17-18 on CH1-6 (Banks OFF) and CH7-12 (Banks ON)
Effect knobs are CC12-13-14-15 and CC16-17-18 ...

MIDI Light Feedback / Instant mapping Problems
I'm using a VCM-600 and found that when I map a button to a device-title-bar (let's say an effect rack) that button gets no visual feedback until the device is in focus.
This should work just like the channel selection to have midi feedback until it's in focus.
The second very similar problem is ...

Re: Vestax VCM-600 and Audio Effect Racks
ok so this is called instant mapping, and it's very limited
all u can do is about control the 8 macros and select 8 banks..
it's still very useful, but i expected something much deeper..

Re: Vestax VCM-600 and Audio Effect Racks
In VCM-600's default setup those buttons select banks (0-7).
U can use chain select zones to make effect banks, each button will select a different chain of effects.
Only the selected chain/s will process the audio signal.
If u wanna use the lower 4 buttons for chain zone selection just slide the ...
