I have an EQ3 and a rack I have made myself on each of 4 tracks, and I have mapped the buttons under the 8 "effects" macro knobs to the device title headers so that I can use those same 8 knobs on 8 different racks
but the trouble is, when the blue hand is on a rack then for some reason the EQ knobs also change the macro knobs
so in other words, it is as if the automap is using the EQ knobs as standard 8 knob macro controls
the even worse thing is that it doesn't do this all the time - it starts doing it after a while, then I have to deselect the VCM600 in the control surface prefs then re-select it
I have also been having a similar thing where it will suddenly stop responding and I have to reset it in the prefs
I'll see if I can narrow down exactly when it happens, but it seems to be unpredictable
automap weirdness with VCM600
Re: automap weirdness with VCM600
I'm having the same problem but the other way around. Sometimes macro knobs start to act as EQ.
I figured out that this happens because midi channels get mixed up occasionally.
EQ knobs are sending CC16-17-18 on CH1-6 (Banks OFF) and CH7-12 (Banks ON)
Effect knobs are CC12-13-14-15 and CC16-17-18-19 on CH13.
So when FX knobs start to send on CH4 they start to control EQ. You're right its totally unpredictable.
Go to Live's midi map when the problem occurs and map the problem EQ knobs manually and see what their values and channel number are.
First no. is channel, second is note (like 1 CC16)
Then map one of your effect knobs to something and check the channel numbers.
This way you can see which channel is messed up.
