Re: which SOFT SYNTH should i get next?

Depends how many voices you want to use on each instance. On my core2duo each sylenth instance typically runs around 5-8% cpu. Its definately one of the most CPU light instruments I have, combined with its great sound makes it indispensable in my arsenal you sound like a trust worthy user from read...

Re: which SOFT SYNTH should i get next?

I still haven't purchased a new soft synth. i was actually talked out of it from someone in here that PM'd me about how to get more sounds out of my KORG LEGACY COLLECTION.(for some reason that person doesn't want to be mentioned for whatever reason, i don't know). I've now turned my KLC into my mai...

Re: which SOFT SYNTH should i get next?

I was going to mention Omnisphere, but it was not in his original post. FWIW, Omnisphere and Zebra2 are the only synths I own aside from the Live Suite, and I feel I have all my bases covered and then some. I'm also using the Live 8 Suite almost exclusively these days and loving it too. that's ok, ...

Re: which SOFT SYNTH should i get next?

i'm glad i conducted this poll. because if not, i would have purchased SONIK SYNTH 2.but, now it sounds like no one voted for it.
now i have to go research FM8 GLADIATOR SYNPLANT CS80V ANALOG FACTORY, and the others you all mentioned.

this is great !

Re: which SOFT SYNTH should i get next?

sonik synth 2 says it has over 5,000 sounds. i wonder though, are all those sounds unique for each one? or a bunch of similar sounds just tweaked a little bit?

Re: which SOFT SYNTH should i get next?

I think the YOUTUBE demos of SYLENTH1 really sold me on wanting it. but, i'm sure i could create them in OPERATOR. i just love presets so much, and lazy to create my own.
