I recorded some guitar parts a couple of months ago. Now I'm trying to record new parts, but if I compare the waveforms of the new takes they look very compressed. If I change the "sensitivity" value of the USB soundcard (Edirol UA-25) they just expand in height, but still look compressed ...

Thank you guys for all your answers. I'll send the crash-files to Ableton. It just freaks me out! It's the first app on my Mac that freezes it all!
One thing that helps is to unplug the USB cable of the audio interface, launch Live, then plug it in. Sometimes it crashes when i quit Live. Crazy stuff ...

Hi everybody,
I'm new in this forum and I'm new to Live, so please be patient.
It happens very often that Live 8 crashes on launch: I can't even force the exit of the program, I have to turn off the Mac, as nothing works,everything is just frozen.
I use Live with an EDIROL UA-25 and a Line6 GearBox ...
