Live Suite 8.0.4. crashes/freezes on MacBook Pro

Hi everybody,
I'm new in this forum and I'm new to Live, so please be patient.
It happens very often that Live 8 crashes on launch: I can't even force the exit of the program, I have to turn off the Mac, as nothing works,everything is just frozen.
I use Live with an EDIROL UA-25 and a Line6 GearBox Gold Plug-in.

crashes on launch can be related to plug-ins not working well with the app. Have you tried loading Live without the Line 6 plugin (this is discontinued, isn't it?)? Maybe you can try to use an alternative for said plugin...

also, make sure the edirol driver is up-to-date..

I had this happen to me just the once on the weekend too. It was on my 15" macbook pro (not the unibody model).

I'm having the same problem. It just started last night also. I've been running the same set up for the last 2 months with no problems and out of now where it freezes on start up. I havent changed anything on my set up including VST plug ins.
I tried to uninstall and start over and still nothing.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Crashing two times on a powermac g5 dual, live 8.04 & both using the APC40

Thank you guys for all your answers. I'll send the crash-files to Ableton. It just freaks me out! It's the first app on my Mac that freezes it all!
One thing that helps is to unplug the USB cable of the audio interface, launch Live, then plug it in. Sometimes it crashes when i quit Live. Crazy stuff.

Any other idea very welcome!
