Hey, I'm really interested in using Push for both ableton and other software such as Traktor. Will there be a 'controller editor' application made available to edit the midi parameters of each control much like the Maschine? This would be useful to change the behaviour of buttons to act as gate/togg...

Ah thanks a lot I found "microsoft gs wavetable synth" was turned on under midi ports in the preferences. I don't know mucb about midi so I assumed it was necessary. Magic, I can get back to mapping now!

When mapping my controllers (xone 2d and apc40) I will hear an annoying piano note play after I have mapped some controls and i use them, it seems to happen mostly...

Ha yeah I'm the same dunno if I'd have the patience to build a megaset from scratch so I've borrowed the dummy clips. I was starting to wonder where you could really go next with dj'ing on ableton until I found his site. Tom cosm is awesome!

I'd love to hear if there was a way round this too. I tried mapping a crossfader to scrub through a track for dj cueing and changing the start position, but for some strange reason i cant do it without the track automatically playing (which means its constantly moving) and its a bit tricky to be acc...

Awesome idea! I hate it every once in while I just cant get a track to warp and have to walk away for a bit or try the commercial warping companies. Although I think maybe its a good thing that ableton requires some prep for dj'ing, wouldn't want to put fuel to the fire that all 'laptop dj's are laz...

Thanks guys it was the 'remote'. I knew it was me being simple I spent over an hour clicking any setting or button in ableton that I didnt understand. Guess its back to the tutorials then!

Thanks alot guys I didnt have 'remote' on its all happening now. Had me worried for a bit there I've just sold my DJM400 to get my hads on the apc40! Now the fun really starts!
