Exporting a midi file from multiple midi tracks
Exporting a midi file from multiple midi tracks. This is one more feature that is preventing Live from becoming the software of choice for film composers. Midi tracks need to be exported to a midi file so they can be sent to orchestrators.

Hear hear! Video streaming via firewire would also be an amazing feature.
Ableton's wise next step could be to make Live the software of choice for film composers. Digital Performer's last few updates have been rather disappointing, so now would be a good momentum for video support features.

I'm a film composer and I've grown to love Ableton Live for anything electronic. I have to use Digital Performer for orchestral film scoring mainly because of two things: 1. Firewire streaming for video 2. Track layout an UI is better with 100+ tracks

so when you say 50 tracks, are you giving every single instrument its own track?
I'm giving them their own midi track, and for instance I can have a Violin I Combi midi track, which has 16 different articulations. I have the entire symphonic cube level 2, so there are a LOT of articulations ...
