As I mentioned in the other forum, - to make Live even more useful for djs - how about reading itunes playlists - if someone has spent an age putting together 'dj crates' /sets / genres etc in itunes - surely Live could read these playlists as does serato scratch.

Thanks for the tips oldbetseysatan - but this would use too much space - all my itunes files are in aiff format - and occupy the best part of 500gb! So copying files for each playlist is really my last resort. I was hoping that there was a way to have Live see the contents of an itunes playlist ...

I have a large itunes library - and need the playlists and playlists folder to make sense of it all. However, when I want to throw together the tunes in a playlist for a dj set etc in Live, I have to root around the hard drive searching for each individual file and then drag into live.

while I'm at it - posting bug reports - Synthogy Ivory running as a VST causes all sorts of screen redraw funny business - creating a new window for itself when sounds are loaded - taking up the top left quarter of the live page.

5.017 sample rate/clock problems at 96khz
When running at 96khz, I notice that often, eg when playing a softsynth or a new piece of audio, the audio breaks up - sounding like Live has lost its connection to incoming clock. Going to the audio setup and changing to 44k and then back to 96k solves the problem.
