5.017 sample rate/clock problems at 96khz

Post by sgw » Wed Jul 20, 2005 4:25 pm

When running at 96khz, I notice that often, eg when playing a softsynth or a new piece of audio, the audio breaks up - sounding like Live has lost its connection to incoming clock. Going to the audio setup and changing to 44k and then back to 96k solves the problem.

System - Mac g5, 2.5ghz, 10.4.2, with Rosetta 800 interface via firewire.

while I'm at it - posting bug reports - Synthogy Ivory running as a VST causes all sorts of screen redraw funny business - creating a new window for itself when sounds are loaded - taking up the top left quarter of the live page.

One thing that seems to always cause the audio dropouts/sample rate/clock problems is using Kontact 2 - eg loading up one of its factory sounds etc. As before, going into the setups, changing to 44k and then back to 96k fixes it.
