Waves plug-ins support the AU standard, therefore they should perform well in Ableton Live. I wonder when an update will be out that addresses these issues?

When I open instances of Waves plug-ins such as: Mondomod, REQ, RCOMP, IR1 etc. Live crashes within a minute or so.

If I then try to open the Live set again, it crashes before opening. I have to open a default Live set, go into Live's preferences, disable AU plug-ins, open the previous Live set I ...

The Logic gate and compresson have sidechains, why not live?

My personal opinion is that if Live 5 had simply implemented PDC (plug-in delay compensation), Track Freeze, Mackie control support, the new effects and a few new skins - AND NOTHING ELSE. We'd all be very happy. But as usual, it's never enough to improve a program without having to re-bloody invent ...

Please add a sidechain to the gate and compressor, so that 'ducking' and rhythmic gating effects are possible etc. Is this doable?

My most ardent wish for Live 5 is:

PLEASE include a way to FIX playback from a specific locator (as with the old system of a start marker), so that even when objects are subsequently selected, playback will start from the locator when the space bar is pressed.

eg. I programme drums in Live by ...

Please add a key command for Freeze track since it will be much used!
