Live and Waves Plug-ins

Post by gnomebottom » Wed Aug 24, 2005 8:25 pm

When I open instances of Waves plug-ins such as: Mondomod, REQ, RCOMP, IR1 etc. Live crashes within a minute or so.

If I then try to open the Live set again, it crashes before opening. I have to open a default Live set, go into Live's preferences, disable AU plug-ins, open the previous Live set I had been working on, delete all instances of Waves plug-ins. Re-activate AU plug-ins in Live's preferences, and then re-activate all other disabled 3rd party AU plug-ins within the Live set!

When will a fix for this be available?

Regards,

as far as i know, that is on Waves side.
they have yet to release a version of their plug-ins or bundles that is compatible with Live.

i'd like to see them release it already too, i quite enjoy RenAxxe, IR-L and IR-1

Waves Plug-ins

Waves plug-ins support the AU standard, therefore they should perform well in Ableton Live. I wonder when an update will be out that addresses these issues?

Waves uses their own WaveShell wrappers, which are not compatible with Live.
And its not that uncommon for a lack of support of the WaveShell in some hosts.
For instance, Waves had to make a specific WaveShell for Logic 7.x users earlier this year as well.
