I liked it a lot up until you started changing chords around 2:00, then it just sounded like you had some weird chord progressions in there to me.

I understand what you mean here, but I purposely wanted a very different feel to the middle section. I tried to smooth out the transition as much as ...

Thanks for that!

To be honest I haven't properly mastered these pieces, but yes it was all done within Ableton.

Echo Indigo DJ Issue!

Hey there,

Basically when I start a set playing the cpu meter jumps up to like 138% and the audio goes all slow and glitchy for a couple of seconds before settling down. This seems to happen often and even on sets that arent that cpu intensive like less than 50%.

I have messed about with buffer ...

Thanks for the reply, I have just check the device manager and I do have an ENE cardbus! I emailed Echo earlier explaining the problem but they have not replied yet.

Does the software utility cure the problem completely?

Echo Indigo DJ Crackling

Hi there,

I have just purchased an Indigo Dj soundcard to use in conjuction with Ableton Live V5 on my laptop. I have noticed a loud crackling sound is present when using the Echo ASIO drivers within Ableton. This also occurs within Cubase. The problem does not occur when using DX drivers. Also the ...

Thanks for the comment Sonarcade! I think a lot of my stuff ends up being quite mellow mainly because im not really thinking about the dancefloor when im producing, I really just make sounds I enjoy listening to whilst sat at my computer! Maybe I should make things a bit more dancefloor friendly, I ...

LOL I probably wouldn’t consider myself a Ninja either! Ableton is definitely one of those programs that everyone wants to know more about. And yeah the DJ’ing side of things means there is a much wider market.

My idea would probably be more along the lines of one on one tuition as with ...

Ableton Tuition

Hi there,

I’m a music technology graduate from Leeds UK and as a fairly competent Ableton user I’ve recently thought about starting up some kind of 1 on one tuition as a way of passing on my knowledge and maybe making some money!

I haven’t thoroughly thought through how I’m going to go about ...

MIDI Controller Specifically for DJ'ing

Hi There,

Im a 3rd year university student studying Creative Music and Sound Technology.

For my dissertation project I have chosen to build a MIDI Control surface specifically for DJ'ing with ableton Live.

I would greatley appreciate it if people who are using Ableton for DJ'ing could post ...
