Just a bump to see if there are any comments guys. Always useful to get a second pair of ears listening.

Well, I just bought some new phones - Sony MDR-V6 - and am getting used to them. So take the following comments in light of that.

Yes, I think v2 is clearer and yes the snare is a little less crisp on that version but not to the point that it detracts from it. I'd stick with v2 but I'd get some ...

Liking it. Had a chance to listen at home on my studio speakers. Still maybe not enough sub for my tastes but I have a flat response set up so...

Also, the female vocalist loop seems to be a little low in the mix. She's sitting too far back maybe? Perhaps some eq magic would help there?

Cool track. Liked the wailing lady, was that a sample or did you record her directly?

Did think that it lacked something in the bass range. Do you have a sub on there? It could be the poor ear bud phones I listened to it on at work though...

Didn't notice any distortion. Played it from my 2.87GHz Intel Macbook Pro. No added interface. Standard minijack audio lineout to Sennheiser bud phones.

Really enjoyed that. Flowed well and sat smoothly in my headphones. The only thing I'd say is that it ends too suddenly. Not keen on tracks that just cut off but, as always, that's just personal taste.

I've listened and added some comments to the soundcloud stem.

One thing i forgot to add is that I think the closed hat you've got going on 8th notes (I think) could do with some stereo widening. Sounds too central.

@jharling - yup the bass is little quiet. I thought about raising the level but went for something that just thickened the rest of the mix up. Plus, as usual it sounds completely different on my flat response speakers than it does on my headphones. That's why I always like other ...

Just adding to what the others have said, they both need a good mix now to sort out balancing the different sounds. Some of the drum hits on the first track are popping out too much and could be tweaked. I like the raspy bass ...
