Just posted my first 2 songs! Electro n house. feedback plz!

Hey guys I've been using this forum for a while now, but have yet to make a post. After many hours I've actually completed 2 songs. Let me know what you think. Feedback would be appreciated.

Those tunes did indeed get my head bouncin'! Nitrogen reminded me of the soundtrack to a real intense scene in an 80's cop or action movie or something. Made me wanna bounce around. The buildup was sweet(the first one, I mean. They were both good but that was the one I was referring to) and I liked the change right after the buildup into that higher up synthy thing.

We go up was really relaxing. Had a nice airy, uplifting (as the title suggests) feel to it. That morphing bleep synth was just sweet sweet sweet. The percussion was on point too. Good stuff man! Keep writin' them bangas!

just put 2 and 2 together. i was listening to the music of people following me and really liked your stuff. didnt realize until now that you commented on this post..ha. i guess you obviously use ableton.

I agree. have any good resources for learning mastering techniques? For me that's a lot harder than actually making the music...getting it to sound clean and crisp.

Maybe you can find some good books around. I've used http://www.amazon.de/Mastern-wie-die-Pr ... 118&sr=8-8 but is a german book.

I agree with what has already been said. Very nice tracks but the overall sound lets them down a bit.

is it just a matter of changing the volume levels of each track? I would really appreciate some direction on goin about this in ableton.

Changing the volume is not enough, you must change the dynamics and almost always it needs some equing, stereo widening and so on. Maszrting is not a secret vut it needs some understanding of the tools. You can start by dropping the "Mastering Rack 1" from the Audio Effects Rack if Ableton on your master channel. Just rotate the dials and listen...

They're both really sweet arrangements. Like the overall blend of sounds.
Just adding to what the others have said, they both need a good mix now to sort out balancing the different sounds. Some of the drum hits on the first track are popping out too much and could be tweaked. I like the raspy bass though.
