Re: Lemonade (POLYGLOTT ft. DASTIE) - Erol Alkan & Boys Noize
wooo, thank you! all of the tips are gold!
were there any sounds that jumped out specifically? There are parts where I really wanted it to come in suddenly, but I'm sure there are other parts that are not mixed nicely, accidentally. I have trouble keeping an objective ear as I'm dancing.

Re: Lemonade (POLYGLOTT ft. DASTIE) - Erol Alkan & Boys Noize
is it possible to change the warp algorithm just for certain parts of a track? I only know how to go into preferences and change the global warp settings, and I don't know how this would effect the other warped sounds.
what do you mean by sporadic? like the melodic part of it is too jumpy? I think ...

Lemonade (POLYGLOTT ft. DASTIE) - Erol Alkan & Boys Noize
The preview for this song was too catchy, so, with a piano rework somebody did over at the erol alkan forums, I made a little remix.
feedback greatly appreciated. please do not be afraid to be harsh, I am grateful for the help.

EQ 8 is the way to go. lightweight and you can make it sound like anything.

Re: best warping settings for vocals (complex, beat, etc)
and also, obviously beat many times sounds fine, but I was wondering if maybe it was not good for vocals in general.

best warping settings for vocals (complex, beat, etc)
Is there a warp setting that adds less digital artifacts to vocals when you warp them? I notice with beat sometime the words stutter, even when the warp markers are at reasonable distances.
sometimes this effect is cool, but other times I just want the voice to fit my tempo without sounding robotic ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
ahhh forgot about samplers zone, which is basically that piano roll shizz.
ABLETON IS AWESOME.
You might have to include the ability to make a sample pitchable (like sampler's piano roll) or keep it anchored to it's original pitch (like in impulse) and you'd have to be able to do this to each ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
the ability to make ghost (linked) copies of clips, so when you make a change to the original, all linked copies get changed also (both in arrangement and in session view)
yeah. sometimes I'll have a bunch of copies of the same clip grouped, it would make it a lot easier to think of new note ...

You might have to include the ability to make a sample pitchable (like sampler's piano roll) or keep it anchored to it's original pitch (like in impulse) and you'd have to be able to do this to each sample added. This interface would be interesting, as you might have to incorporate a piano roll into ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
Even better, if in the new, beastly Sampler there was room for one sample like it is now, but there was also one little empty box to the right of it that looked just like one of the little boxes in Impulse that you drag your samples into. When you dragged a sample into the little empty box, it would ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
Sampler could and should really just be an incredible beast.
What I always end up doing is sketching my percussion (sometimes in detail) using impulse since it is so easy to see how each sound relates to the other sounds temporally. it's a very convenient drum machine. Then I re-make the patterns ...

Re: THE BIG USER REQUESTS TOPIC FOR LIVE9
more sampler options would be sickkk. sampler can only get better.
