In 8.1.3: Gradual changes in tempo tend to cause artifacts and other sorts of distortion; quantized jumps in tempo causes skips...how can I automate tempo changes without these problems? I've got my buffer up all the way to 2048 and changing it doesn't seem to help very much..

Every time I open up ableton it loads my template set and proceeds to crash. Usually it finishes loading the template set after which I try to start a new project--I then see the busy cursor on my screen until I eventually have to force quit. Thanks for the replies guys, been very helpful--went back to the eqs after messing around with the smart mixing thing and i'm definitely liking what i hear. I'm trying to decide between using jeremy jives eq and tarekiths eq 3.2
