I'm guessing there might be a large amount of low-frequency (bass) energy in the new element you introduce? This might cause the limiter to react strongly and cause and overall drop in volume. Try cutting some of the lower frequencies in that track and see if it helps!

You might say we have a brand identity, but only to the extent that we only publish music we like and that has a certain sound that goes well with the overall feel of the site/label. However, as far as genre goes, we are open to pretty much any type of music!
