Re: Mapping the "grab" in Granulator II Input
Thanks but ugh. I got it in but now it doesn't seem to register what track it's on. All I get is a "0" instead of a 1 or 2. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong, but no idea what.

Re: Mapping the "grab" in Granulator II Input
Wow. Thanks so much! One more newbie question. I'm running M4L and opened Max through Live. I created a "new from clipboard" and I've got it saved as "maxpat" file on my desktop now. How do I turn that to the amxd file Live wanted to see?

Mapping the "grab" in Granulator II Input
Hi,
It seems like the "grab" button on the GranulatorII input can't be mapped to a controller. But this is the most important button to map, because otherwise, I have to stop playing my instrument and grab the mouse. I'm a newb as far as M4L editing. Is there a simple way to make that part of the ...

Parameter Step Sequencer?
Hi All,
I know with the M4L LFO, you can just map it to any parameter and away you go. Is there an M4L step sequencer that works the same way? Bonus if it can be run from Push for evolving effect step sequences in real time . . . .

Re: REverb and Delay Tails getting cut
Thanks -- no limiters on the mix. I'm hitting "select all" before exporting. Is there a better way to do it to make sure the tails are in?

Re: Anyone record using Mac Air?
You'll want an extra hard drive just for space. And efx and soft synths will be comparatively limited. But my travel laptop is a MBA and I've done some serious audio on it.

I also run an installation of Live on a MacBook Air (which is SSD only) with no trouble.

no LFO after 5.1.8 install
Hi There,
Pardon the dumb question, but the new LFO in 5.1.8 isn't showing up in M4L. I've updated to Max 5.1.8 and Live 8.2.2 . Is there something else I need to do to make it appear? I'm looking under "max audio effect"
Thanks.

StewD,
Between the holiday rush and upgrading my system, I haven't had a chance to play with SoftStep in depth. As soon as we get by New Year, I'll have some time and will post my thoughts.

Live 8.1.3 hangs on startup -- LiveControl
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem or a workaround. Live hangs on startup at "opening template set" when I launch it. This problem started after I installed the LiveControl template to run Live with TouchOSC. I can fix the problem by trashing Live's preferences, but then I need ...

Re: The Cheapest possible controller...
Indeed. I've mapped lots of functions straight to the keyboard for dub-style muting and unmuting of sends and launching of clips. In fact, one could imagine purchasing a cheap computer keyboard and just creating a custom template for it. Launchpad and APC 40 pads aren't touch-sensitive anyway. . . .

Re: MIDI Multing
Thanks, I appreciate stupid questions as I've probably missed something totally basic. I've tried it on both "in" and "auto" with no luck (I've also tried the battery channel with record enabled and disabled). I should be clear that I'm not playing a loop. If I drop a loop into the Battery track, I ...

Sorry for crossposting this but I got no replies in the Support Forum and this should be an easy question:

This is the most basic thing ever. I'm sure this has been covered but I can't seem to find the right answer with search. If there's an old thread, a link will be fine.

JaaDU VNC also is pretty nice in a different way. Not a transport but a "lay your hands on Live" sort of thing. Will work better with the iPad, I imagine. But I've found some nice uses for it. The only thing I don't like is the drag function is a little wonky.
